Landfall Analysis

With either 12 or 24 hours in-between National Hurricane Center forecast positions, strict extrapolation of a storm's intensity is not always representative of "reality". When the "landfall analysis" option is selected, the system will automatically analyze the forecast track and determine when in the forecast period landfall is expected.  Using this information the system will maintain a system's intensity until landfall is made and then degrade it accordingly thereafter.
